About the Interior Design Program
In 1977, interior design was recharacterized from a concentration of study in home economics to a Bachelor of Science degree program.

In 1992 the program was housed in the College of Applied Sciences until 2006 when it became part of the Department of Art and Design in the College of Arts and Sciences; in July 2007 it will become part of the School of Art and Design under the newly founded College of Fine and Performing Arts.

Learn more about WCU’s Interior Design Program by reading our philosophy, mission and goal statements and message from the program director or getting to know our faculty and staff and rigorous curriculum.
